You're ruining your son's street cred. Please buy him at least one game as a gesture of goodwill... he'll love you (or your parents, or whoever buys him that game) to bits for it.
My son was short of money through getting debt free from his first year student loan on his own volition, working many hours to do it. I bought him a Gamecube as a "well done" (he spent a week agonising over it - he's had every type of Nintendo console starting with a NES many years ago).
Luigi's Mansion and Star Wars Rogue Leader are both superb (he's been on one or other of them - girlfriend visit, meals and sleep permitting - all weekend). Wave Rider also looked very impressive in the shop.
I just sit there in awe of the graphics (as I do with many of the current crop of consoles). Very, very impressed with the GameCube though.
