Take no notice. If you want to cover your back, phone Social Services for advice, that will spike her guns. They arent daft.

It depends on the child and the place and the time of day. It also depends on sibling harmony. You wouldnt leave one alone at night, or in a strange place, or two after school who would fight. Even some older teenagers need a parental eye on them at times. You are the best judge, trust your judgement.

Yes, things have changed since we were young. Id say forget that and use your own judgement in present circumstances.
