Squander (my other half) suggested I post here asking for help.

We've moved house recently and 'yes' I've overdone things, lifting and carrying stuff that I shouldn't.

Long story short, I've had this back pain on and off for a few days, but thought I was okay, until yesterday evening when I was in absolute agony. The pain seems to be generating from 'above' the small of my back (not the small of the back itself and on the right-hand side) then my right leg started to hurt yesterday evening. (down the outside of the thigh) I know that feeling, had it once about 15 years ago, didn't like it then and like it even less now :(

I ended up in bed on doctors orders for about three months, during which time the whole of my back lost its muscle tone and I ended up a virtual cripple in my own home. It went on for years, until I worked out that mobility seemed to be the key, however what do I do at the moment? The general concesus(sp?) seems to be 24 hours bed rest, then as mobile as I can be, however Squander has to go away on a business trip, it's something he can't get out of and I have an active 4 year old and literally no one to help, suggestions anyone?

To relieve the pain and the spasm? In days goneby the doc would've given me a dose of diazepam for a few days to relieve the spasms, however even that is out as I need my wits about me to look after my four year old.

Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

Mand :) ™
