I started reading this book a couple of days ago and I'm part way through the What to Wear chapter, just about to start the section about what royalty wear.

I always look at the pictures first when a book has an obvious section of glossy pages. The clothing pictures were very useful, and the captions were interesting too, especially the one saying that pictures of people being tortured are useful for historians as they get to see what people's underwear looks like!

You are really missing out if you don't get to see the cute elephants in this picture! The artist has obviously never seen an elephant but must have heard that they can pick things up with their trunks, as he has given them pincers like a crab's on the end of their trunks:
