I did not participate for 2 reasons

1) I simply do not like most of Chapel Down's products and consider them to be over-priced.

2) CD seems to me to following the example regrettably set by some other English winemakers of elevating the disciplines of branding and marketing to a higher level than that of making quality wine. I prefer the old fashioned approach of artisan winemakers in other countries of making brilliant wines and letting them speak for themselves rather than CD' approach of making rather ordinary wines then hyping the bejasus out of them and subjecting them to uber-branding.
