I'm currently reading Planetfall by Emma Newman, a science fiction novel whose viewpoint character is a hoarder. Ren's hoarding isn't the main focus of the novel, but it does completely inform her life, and I'm finding it very relatable. I don't (think I) have hoarding instincts, but I can identify with her "it could be useful", "it would be so easy to fix" and "I don't have time to sort this out right now" thoughts, and can see how one might carry it to an extreme, enough that I'm finding it almost painful to read at times. I'm finding this aspect very interesting and thought others here might do so as well.
