following that analogy, would you expect the entire office to stop working until they find out? Our cancellation seems reasonable as it is only a few days later but surely life has to continue

surely playing football is not comparable to most other jobs. In an office, if a similar thing occurred you can go to work, talk to others, do a bit, coast along and gradually come to terms with what has happened.

Football requires 90 minutes of intense concentration, focus and motivation in front of a large paying crowd - I can well see that most of the Bolton players are not in the frame of mind to do that now, and may not be for some time. Muamba looks to be improving, but it will be a long slow process with the outcome uncertain for some time yet.

Spurs have a game tomorrow -I note their players have been told they can not play if not up for it - we will see quite a few missing I think.
