Fortunately, I was never caught up directly in the dot com bubble of the late 90s through to the year 2000, as I didn't invest directly in shares at that time.

I did, however, have a few pension funds and I made the decision at some point to split one of the bigger holdings and chucked a small lump (1.2k) into the pension provider's technology fund probably sometime in 1999.

I left it well alone.

I'm pleased to report that this past week, it has moved into profit with each unit now worth 0.28 more than I paid for them.

It's been a Katastrophe for the last 15 odd years, but now a happy retirement beckons.
