Casper, when my eldest was about C's age, I was chatting to her while she was having a bath. OH was working in the study and she asked what he was doing (he was writing up his PhD at the time). So I said, a bit flippantly, than he is studying to be a doctor, and that mummy was a doctor already (having finished the blasted thing a year or so previously).

You can't be a doctor mummy, she says, you must be a nurse.

I had some very severe words with her nursery after that exchange. She is a 21 year old university student now, very confident, bright and outspoken, so there's some hope :)
