....but surely these same people saved that little bit more each month when interest rates were low?

Whaddaya mean they didn't preferring to squander it instead?!

I don't recall the CAB being vocal on behalf of savers back when rates were stupidly low?

Perhaps Jon the CAB spokesman has an F off mortgage?
