Hi all,
While I am still very happy with my HTC Desire and it fulfils all my phone and other basic needs - I have an iPad with me quite a lot of the time to do more smarter stuff that may need a larger screen - the time has come for me to upgrade.
What I am desperately struggling to find though, is a phone about the same size as the Desire(or an iPhone) but with a better, faster processor and specs.
Everything, I mean everything is so much larger! The Samsung S2 is huge and so are HTC's One range, except the one which is really lame and small with a weak processor :-( ditto Huawei.. I already have a 10" iPad!!
Am I missing something out there? I am happy buying sim-free as I have a rolling one month contract with T-Mobile or I can get into a contract with Vodafone, O2 or T-Mobile.. Actually anyone but Orange..
Recommendations welcome. Size and good specs is key.. The higher the Android version, the better - that could be a tie-breaker..
P.S. if there is nothing out there, I will just have to wait for the next iPhone which I am sure will be trend-setting after the disappointment of 4s.. But I'd rather have an Android phone to hedge my bets with my iPad environment.
TIA B&W

If the S2 is huge then what constitutes an acceptable size?
For reference...
The Galaxy S2 is 125.3 x 66.1 x 8.5mm with a 4.3" screen The iphone 4S is 115.2 x 58.6 x 9.3mm with a 3.5" screen
so the former is about 1cm bigger on the face albeit with much more of the face consumed by a screen (which at least means the extra footprint is put to some use).
Cheers Matt

Hiya, as I said in my original post, the iPhone 4/4s or HTC Desire is the kind of size I was looking for, especially in height and width - thickness is usually ok on phones nowadays.
The Galaxy S2 is a bigger phone, but I don't need the 'big' screen as I have an iPad that is virtually with me all the time and I am happy with the smaller screen. I have to carry a phone for work too, so having a big phone like Galaxy S2 is a real pain.
cheers B&W

If you are open to other suggestions I'm enjoying my lumia 710 windows phone, its not too big and very responsive (I moved from an android phone).
