'As a Sainsburys shareholder, I am dismayed at the attempt of Tesco to further damage the sales of Sainsburys by accepting Spend and Save vouchers'

As a Tesco shareholder I am not! Tesco have always accepted coupons from others co's (eg a former Safeway in Sheffield has been converted to a Waitrose and they have dished out £3/£5/£10 vouchers to John Lewis cardholders in Sheffield). Tesco don't even want their customers to try out waitrose so they accept these vouchers. This short term hit to profit will be outweighted by keeping customers long term.

Tesco's are further battering Sainsburys because the latter is a basket case and people prefer to shop where stock is available on the shelves rather than in some new computer controlled warehouse. What next, a blockade of Tesco stores? - Grow up.

(Tesco shareholder since 1998)
