So you now pay nothing each month (except the TV licience) ??
What channels do you get? (Sky basic perhaps, or less than that?)

Hi M8,
Yep, I pay only the BBC Licence Fee to watch Jeremy Paxman, David Dimbleby and just a couple more..;-((((
There are benefits in having the Satellite Equipment installed in any event...You can probably still get it all free...ie Dish..dead small now..very unobstrusive. Has to face about 10'oclock position..and you get the`decoder..Access`then to 200 digital channels. All BBC and ITV channels in digital. In fact I have removed my terrestial arial now..
You may get it installed or about £10 as well..If you shop around?
OK, the drawback?..
You have to subscribe to a Sky TV Package for a minimum of 12 months. I have'nt looked for some time but the minimum used to be about £9 a month..So £108 one off payment and you get all that Equipment for life..
You then tell em you no longer want any of their packages after 11 months and then you will still have access to quite a lot of channels actually..
Sky News and BBC News 24 both 24 hour news channels, Golf Channel, Music Video, Houses of Parliament/HOL debates when in session....lots of Religious, Shopping and Holiday channels..and access to Adult programmes by subscription...
More than enough for anyone..of course IF you want to subscribe to Sky Packages. You can see Live Premier League, Live US Golf every week, about 12 Film channels with recent releases and two oldie films channels..Geographical and Historical/Famous People Channels and lots of Kids programmes eg Disney Channel...also lots and lots of other channels..as well. Upstairs/Downstairs repeats etc..Oh and US News channels like CNN where I've seen lots of live action from Iraq, to Afghanistan and the US Elections..Mmmmmmmm
So?..
Why would anyone want to pay the BBC Licence fee with all that going on?...
If I had a choice to pay out £120..I would fund a Sky TV package of some of the above..;-)
